Personally, I (Carley) created my first website back in 2008 with the help of a friend when my dad started his business. This was before WordPress and other CMS’ were popular and websites were coded from scratch. This gave me a great foundation as I still use some of these basic coding skills today when customizing WordPress websites.

Although I designed my first website in 2008, Payneless Media was born in October 2012.

Mostly you will be dealing with myself (Carley). Like a lot of business owners, I handle most parts of the business – design, development, marketing, sales, bookeeping, admin etc. 

We do have a small team of developers to help with those complex tasks. We’ll always be upfront and transparent with who is completing the work for you.

Every website is different and needs to be spec’d up accordingly, but as a rough guide a brochure website (non-ecommerce) will usually take between 6 – 8 weeks, and an ecommerce website will take between 8 – 10 weeks.

Yes, yes, yes! We can’t believe there are still companies out there who don’t build mobile responsive websites. Since 2018 Google made it a requirement in their algorithm so we ensure to keep up with this industry standard. Not only that, but most users will visit a website on their phone so it’s a necessity in trying to have the highest conversion rate possible.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a whole other beast in itself. It’s a very specialised niche when done correctly. We create all websites as SEO friendly, but SEO is an ongoing task. For this, we have specialists we can refer you to.

Yes! We will always give you access to your website and files. Building websites with WordPress also means that it’s really easy for our customers to jump in themselves and make any changes to their website as they see fit. We use a visual editor called Divi which is a drag and drop editor so you can visually see what you are doing and don’t need any technical or coding knowledge.

Our Maintenance Packages are included with every new website build to ensure that your website is kept up to date and in good health even if you don’t have the time yourself.

Put simply, emails are complex! They are ususally the prime point of contact for any business too, so it’s essential that they are always up and running. For this reason, we recommend staying away from the old format of IMAP and POP email hosting and recommend switching over to GSuite or Office365.
